We have received our buddy boo and my daughter loves it. She not only is using him to learn how to identify her emotions as she is only 3 years old but also enjoys playing with him, offering comfort and the perfect play companion.
As a teacher this resource is also helpful
In the classroom as a role play resource and the badges help discuss medical conditions of the classes peers.
Boo is practical and very well put together, from the high quality product that is soft and inviting. To the very thought out helper cards I am very impressed with this product and would highly recommend.

Buddy Boo is more than just a plush toy—he’s a gentle, understanding friend who helps children express what’s often too hard to say out loud.
As a parent of a child undergoing cancer treatment, I found Buddy Boo to be an incredibly thoughtful and helpful tool. The velcro port and childhood cancer badge are beautifully subtle touches that make kids feel seen and understood—like they have a little buddy walking beside them through every step of treatment.
When my son used his emotion badges, I was genuinely surprised by what he shared. Before a lumbar puncture, he placed badges I wouldn’t have expected. Without needing to have a big or overwhelming conversation, he showed me exactly what was on his heart. That kind of insight is priceless.
This little adventurer is helping children speak their truth in a way that’s gentle, empowering, and just the right size for them. Highly recommended for any child facing medical challenges or big emotions.

I purchased this for my 5 year old, who after seeing Boo online, was obsessed. Everyday since boo, my 5 year old has carried him around and independently swapped over her little emotions on his belt. I love how Boo is the visual prompt for her to check in on her emotions. This allows her to then communicate with us, which opens up how we can support her, or build upon interoceptive awareness skills of 'how that emotion feels in her body'. She promptly switched her emotion from happy to angry the other morning when she was told she wasn't allowed a lolly for breakfast! She has always endlessly engaged in pretend play with boo. We love Boo and seeing the 'tool' work in real time with helping our littlest develop emotional insight and regulation skills is awesome.

Such a wonderful tool to support the expression of distress along with feelings that can be hard to express or articulate. A powerful resource that I have already used and will continue to promote.

We were gifted a Boo to accompany my 3 year old son into his bone marrow transplant, obviously being incredibly hard on him physically and emotionally. Boo has given my son the tools to express himself in ways he previously struggled with. He was also tickled that Boo has a port needle like him too and it has helped in the sometimes traumatic process of dressing and line changes because Boo does it too! Boo himself is beautiful quality, soft high quality fabrics and easy to use even for my very sick 3 year old. So grateful for the gift of communication and comfort 🩵🎗️

My two kids (5 and 3) adore their buddy Boo, and to be honest so do I. I work in family mental health and Boo has been such a cuddly and handy resource when it comes to supporting my children with their emotions. We use Boo when big feelings arise (both the comfy and uncomfy ones); to talk about how emotions feel in our body; to build my children’s emotional literacy and more. Boo himself is such good quality, very huggable & comes with a great array of emotions in his sweet little backpack. I wish every school and home had a Boo!

Our daughter isla is going through chemo atm and has a traumatic experience having her bloods taken aswell as having her port accessed. Katie kindly send BOO to us hoping it would help isla during her treatment. Its safe to say isla dosnt go anywhere without her Boo. He has been a blessing in helping her express how she is feeling if she can not understand how to express them. He sits with her during any procedure she has aswell as comforts her while she is receiving her Chemotherapy.
Thankyou Katie for sending Boo out way Xxx

Boo is our absolute favourite and my daughters new best friend. He has helped her through so much and mostly on those harder days when my daughter struggles to understand her emotions. She is learning that its absolutely ok to feel a certain way thanks to Boo and his emotion badges. We find a quiet place to sit and chat about our day and the emotions we have felt and why. Thanks Boo! X

My little man received his Boo as a gift which happened to arrive on his last day of treatment for a two year and three month battle with Leukaemia.
The smiles and giggles were infectious and he was beyond happy.
My son declared that Boo, like him, had Leukaemia and that they would finish treatment together and go together to get their ports removed soon.
Having my little guy have a special friend to relate to and find comfort in for this next chapter of his life is beyond special and we are forever grateful.
Thank you so very, very much for bringing him the perfect friend to cuddle, love and share this journey with.

Our daughter was gifted a buddy Boo during a recent stay in Hospital. What an amazing gift, the emotion badges are a great tool in assisting our daughter to express how she is feeling. We are 2.5 year’s into treatment, and although we are near the end of treatment, our family are experiencing on-going big emotion’s. Our whole family are benefiting from My Buddy Boo as we share our feeling’s together. Such an exceptional, comforting tool for everyone, particularly children who have experienced a lot of trauma. Genius idea, well done to helping so many people Katie! 😃

As an Occupational Therapist, Boo has been a wonderful resource to use in therapy sessions with my paediatric clients. Boo has supported my clients to explore and express their emotions in a safe, playful and gentle way. I'm privileged to have Boo as my OT assistant!

As a paediatric exercise physiologist, I see a lot of children for all different complex medical conditions and Boo has been a wonderful addition to my consultations. It has helped the children I work with be able to express themselves and explain to me how their feeling prior to our session starting without them having to verbally explain. I also use Boo at home with my son, although he is only still quite young, I know this type of exposure to expressing emotions helps him throughout his lifetime so he knows that it is okay to have these feelings, and also that as a parent I am here to support him.

I’m a psychologist working with children, and I can’t rave about this product enough! Whilst it would be perfect for families going through cancer treatment, or any other chronic illness- buddy boo is also wonderful for kids who have difficulty sharing their emotions, struggle with articulation or who are non-speaking. I’m so grateful to have this tool to share with my clients ♥️

My buddy boo has been the perfect companion to my son as he is navigating big emotions around medical trauma. I am so grateful to Katie for creating boo and his backpack of emotions to give our kids an easy way to express their feelings and I wish that every child oncology family had a boo given to their child at the very start of treatment and all the hospital stays - Gifting a Buddy Boo will help so many children going through a tough time in hospital! We can’t recommend My Buddy Boo enough.

My Type 1 Diabetic son was lucky enough to be gifted a Buddy Boo and it had (and continues to have) such a positive impact on him. He no longer feels alone in his journey and he is able to use the emotion badges to help express how he is feeling. He has proudly taken his Boo to Diabetes Camp and sleeps with him every night.
